Course Structure Scope for statistical methods in physical sciences and engineering. Measures of location, partition and dispersion. Elements of probability. Probability distribution: binomial Poisson, geometric, hypergeometric, negative-binomial, normal Poisson, geometric, hypergeometric, negative-binomial, normal, Student’s t and chi-square distributions.
