Admission Requirements
The entry requirements for the degree programme shall be
1. Unified Tertiary Examination (UTME) Requirements
a) UTME subjects must English Language, Mathematics, Chemistry and Physics.
b) Five credit passes at not more than TWO sittings which must include English Language, Mathematics, Physics, Chemistry and Biology or Agricultural Science, at Senior School Certificate.


2. Direct Entry Requirements
Candidates shall possess in addition to the minimum requirements in 1(b)
a) Two A’ Level subjects including Mathematics, Physics or Chemistry with minimum of credit passes; and
b) At least Upper Credit Pass in National Diploma in Computer Science from a recognised Polytechnic or its equivalent.

Programme Duration
The duration of the programme is normally EIGHT academic semesters for UTME candidates and SIX academic semesters for direct entry candidates. If a candidate fails to graduate within the stipulated academic sessions, he or she will not be allowed to exceed a total of TWELVE academic semesters in the case of UTME candidate and TEN academic semesters in the case of direct entry.

Requirements for Graduation
To be eligible for the award of B.Sc. degree in Cyber Security, a student must have:
a) passed all the core courses, university and faculty required courses and electives;
b) accumulated a minimum of 157 course units for students admitted through UTME and 109 for students admitted through direct entry; and
c) attain a minimum CGPA of 1.50
However, direct entry students are expected to audit some 100 level courses of the University such as CYB 102, CYB 104, CYB 106 and GST 112. Failure to pass these courses at first sitting means that the courses will be used in the computation of affected students result.
